Kathleen L. Kane
Kathleen L. Kane was born in South Jersey outside of Philadelphia. She moved to Massachusetts in 2000 when she married her husband Jon Rodis. She was the Director of a private post-secondary school, which prepared students for jobs in the computer and business fields for eight years. After attending law school, she became an Assistant District Attorney in Pennsylvania where she prosecuted domestic violence and sexual assault cases. In 1997, she went into private law practice.
In 2002, she joined Spillane Law Offices. She has represented injured clients in Pennsylvania and Massachusetts throughout her law career. Ms. Kane has also successfully represented those filing for Social Security Disability Benefits since 1997. She has been successful in obtaining benefits for Marfan and other Connective Tissue Disorder claimants throughout the United States.
Kathleen is also a volunteer for The Marfan Foundation. She and her husband Jon, who is afflicted with Marfan Syndrome, have raised awareness of the condition and thousands of dollars over the years for the Foundation. Kathleen has presented an educational workshop on Social Security Disability at the Foundation’s annual conference and many regional symposiums since 2008. She has also presented at medical conferences for Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome, Sticklers Syndrome, Turners Syndrome and Ataxia.
Kathleen and Jon live steps from the beach in Winthrop, Massachusetts, and are often found there in the summer months. Kathleen also loves to travel and has been to all but five of the United States.Read More Read Less
