David Spillane was born in Quincy, where he currently resides. He was the middle child of seven children growing up in Dorchester. He is a 1975 cum laude graduate of the New England Institute of Applied Arts and Sciences, having earned a degree in Mortuary Science. He is also a 1977 cum laude graduate of the University of Massachusetts at Boston, majoring in Political Science. While raising three children and working in as a regional sales manager for a Midwest manufacturer, David attended the evening division of New England School of Law, where graduated cum laude in 1987. Upon his admission to the Massachusetts Bar, he opened a private general practice in Quincy, while working part-time as Counsel to the Quincy Police in the Office of the City Solicitor in Quincy for three years. He was admitted to the United States District Court Bar in 1988 and the United States Supreme Court Bar in 1993, and is also a member of the Real Estate Bar Association of Massachusetts, is a member of the Women’s Council of Realtors-South Shore Chapter and an affiliate member of the South Shore Realtors. David was a principal in the law firm of Spillane & Epstein, P.C. for eleven years with offices throughout southeastern Massachusetts. David has been in practice for over 30years, with concentrations in estate planning and administration, real estate conveyancing and personal injury. David also represents winners of the Massachusetts State Lottery so that they may claim their prizes anonymously, and has performed this valuable service more than any other lawyer in Massachusetts. He enjoys spending time with his three adult children and two granddaughters.
Daniel J. Gibson
Dan Gibson, a native of Hyde Park, and has been a member of the Massachusetts Bar since 1987. He is a 1977 graduate of the University of Massachusetts at Boston, where he earned a degree in Political Science and is a graduate of the Suffolk University Sawyer School of Management where he earned a Master’s Degree in Public Administration in 1979. Upon graduation from Suffolk University, Dan worked as the Deputy Assistant Register at the Suffolk County Probate & Family Court in Boston for eight years, four years of which were while attending law school evenings. He graduated cum laude from New England School of Law in Boston in 1987 where he served as the Lead Articles Editor for the New England Law Review. After a one-year clerkship in the Massachusetts Superior Court, he joined the firm of Sarrouf, Taricone & Flemming, P.C. in 1988, a boutique litigation practice specializing in major injury tort litigation and probate of estates relating to wrongful death cases, where he soon became a partner. In 2005, needing to make time for raising his two children, Dan returned to the Suffolk Probate Court as the Judicial Case Manager / Magistrate, a position he held for 12 years. In 2018, along with his long-time mentor Camile F. Sarrouf, Esq. and law partner Camile F. Sarrouf, Jr., Esq., Dan formed the firm Sarrouf / Gibson in Downtown Boston. In September he left his Boston practice and in October 2019, Dan assumed the position of Partner and Chief Litigation Counsel at our firm. He was admitted to the United States District Court Bar in 1988 and the United States Supreme Court Bar in 1993. Dan has been happily married for 31 years to Hon. Dorothy M. Gibson (Ret.), former Justice of the Middlesex Probate & Family Court in Cambridge. Together they have two children, Daniel and Mary Elizabeth.
Cara Kuzmiski
Cara Kuzmiski was born and raised in Raynham, MA. She graduated from Coyle and Cassidy High School in 1996 and went on to attend Merrimack College in Andover, MA, from where she graduated in 2000 earning a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a minor in Business Administration. In 2006, Cara was admitted to Southern New England School of Law in Dartmouth, MA. While in law school, Cara was one of six students, invited by the faculty, to join the Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court team during her second year. She graduated from Southern New England School of Law in 2009. After graduating from law school, Cara moved to Venice, Florida and worked as a criminal defense law clerk and real estate law clerk before returning to Massachusetts in 2015. Upon returning to Massachusetts, she accepted a position with a Fortune 500 Insurance company. In the fall of 2016, Cara accepted a law clerk position at a well-established general practice law firm in Southeastern Massachusetts where she worked on personal injury and medical malpractice cases. Cara was admitted to the Massachusetts Bar in February 2021 and has practiced in the areas of medical malpractice, personal injury, residential and commercial real estate and probate. Cara has joined the litigation department at SKB Attorneys as a general litigation attorney. Cara has worked on cases involving catastrophic personal injuries, wrongful death due to medical malpractice, dog bites, motor vehicle accidents and motorcycle accidents. She has experience assisting in all aspects of a claim, from the initial consultation through settlement and/or trial. Cara is admitted to the Massachusetts Bar. She is a member of the Massachusetts Bar Association and the Real Estate Bar Association of Massachusetts.
